Have you ever heard of Hemp Protein? It’s amazing & oh so good for you… & You don’t need to buy any fancy protein powders, just a bag full of hemp seed hearts, hulled & ready to eat!
Keep reading below to learn why you should be adding hemp seeds to your smoothies, salads and oats in the morning to get a boost of hemp protein. These little plants (hemp seeds) are the tiniest protein & nutrient rich powerhouses i’ve ever seen. We should all be making them a staple in our diets starting today!
Even though they say Summer has ended … it still feels like summer to me, considering it’s still 80 degrees here in Southern California. So, I don’t know about you but I’m definitely not ready to start eating anything warm for breakfast, instead I’ll be drinking my smoothies with added hemp protein and working on my tan outside.
Today I grabbed a handful of nutrient rich hemp seeds for my added hemp protein boost, packed the blender full of fruits ands veggies & got my day started with a deliciously green (even though it turned out purple), berry smoothie!
This smoothie was an amazing addition to my morning and I can’t say enough about the new discovery of protein packed hemp seeds. Here’s what I learned today…
WHY HEMP SEED?
Organic, raw, hulled hemp seeds are one of the only plant based foods considered a complete protein, as they provide 10 grams of protein for every 3 tablespoons, making them a wonderful addition to your diet. They provide the prefect balance of Omega 3 and 6 essential fatty acids that can promote heart health, help lower triglycerides and aide in the reduction of inflammation. Organic hemp seeds contain all of the amino acids your body is unable to generate on its own, earning the name of a “complete protein”. In addition to the vitamins, minerals, & fiber, hemp seeds are also effective at curbing hunger and building and maintaining muscle mass as they are so nutrient rich & are just what your body needs!
Plus, they have a very mild flavor and creamy texture once blended so they can be added to almost anything. Think breakfast smoothies, bowls of oatmeal & quinoa, sprinkled on soups & salads and even added into your favorite sweet treat when baking.
& Not only are they protein rich, but a 3 tbsp serving of Hemp Seeds includes…
8% Vitamin B6
